Working with film cameras, double exposures, and unfinished rolls, I became interested in distance: between people, places, and moments in time. Several of these photographs were made by finishing a roll of film my grandfather had started nearly twenty years earlier. The first frames, taken in the early 2000s, documented his and my grandmother's apartment in Baltimore. After sitting in a closet for almost two decades, the roll found its way into my camera, where new images were layered over old ones.

Part experiment and part collaboration across time, these photographs bring together texture and shape ///// isolation and uncertainty. These images are less concerned with documenting a specific moment than with tracing how memory lingers, reappearing in unexpected ways. (Baltimore & Philadelphia 2001-2021)
